Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
Oversee packaging operations - manage priorities, inspections, documentation, repair costs, reporting and other activities to satisfy department and plant goals, process, and procedures.
Report to Plant Manager; and provide leadership developing a teamwork relationship with all other functional leaders.
Attain short and long term goals, optimize safety, quality, team effectiveness, regulatory compliance, cost control and meet daily work schedules in Packaging Department.
Achieve department goals and metrics by managing crew, productivity, coordination of purchasing, material usage, product quality (yield), and packaging equipment utilization.
Requirements and Preferred
Qualifications:
5
years' experience working in a manufacturing packaging environment.
3
years' experience working in a supervisory capacity related to bulk material handling, packaging equipment and supplies.
Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and presenting workable solutions.
College degree in Engineering, Packaging or Manufacturing Operations preferred. HS Diploma or equivalent required and specific career experience.
