Magnolia Regional Health Center is a Sponsoring Institution for Graduate Medical Education and is currently seeking a Designated Institutional Official.


Key Responsibilities include:
Support the organization's Graduate Medical Educational and Research activities


  • In collaboration with a Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) Chair, the DIO has authority and responsibility for the oversight and administration of each of the Sponsoring Institutions ACGME accredited programs, as well as responsibility for ensuring compliance with the Institutional, Common and specialty/subspecialty specific Program Requirements.
  • Ensures the coordination of all educational and clinical activities, requirements of accrediting bodies, institutional goals and objectives and policies and procedures for Postgraduate Training.
  • The leader will plan, organize, and promote the growth of the institution's GME programs and provide the leadership necessary to maximize the use of personnel, material and financial resources.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Licensure &a;
Experience:


  • Five years Graduate Medical Education leadership/management experience required.
  • Advanced Professional Educational Degree, MD or DO.
  • Certification in GME Training Administration (C-TAGME) is preferred.
  • Candidate should have advanced knowledge of ACGME standards, AMA core competencies, NRMP, ERAS and Residency Management Software Suite (New Innovations).
  • Excellent computer skills are required. Must be proficient in computer use with Microsoft Office suite and web use.
  • Position requires excellent written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to function independently, adapt quickly to change, multitask and perform general office duties.
  • Flexibility with regard to work hours is required; attendance at early morning conferences or weekend/evening educational sessions may be required.

The Graduate Medical Education Department currently provides training in Internal Medicine Residency, Emergency Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship and Medical Student programs. All of our GME training programs are ACGME accredited.

ABOUT MAGNOLIA REGIONAL HEALTH CENTER:


Magnolia Regional Health Center is a Community Hospital, jointly owned by the City of Corinth and Alcorn County, MS that serves a 7 county service area of over 130,000 people.

In 2007, MRHC constructed an addition which included 3 new patient floors, a new surgical intensive care unit, new private short stay surgery rooms, new private pre- &a; post-heart cath rooms, new surgery recovery positions, 3 additional new operating rooms, a new cardiac rehabilitation area &a; 6 new medical office suites. Additionally, the Magnolia Heart &a; Vascular Center was opened that same year offering cardiac intervention &a; open-heart surgery. In 2013, Magnolia Regional Health Center opened its newly constructed 53,000 square feet addition which included a new front entrance, new radiology department which included new, state-of-the-art equipment such as the 1.5 large bore MRI, three 128 slice CT scanners, two Spect CT Nuclear Cameras, digital mammography and stereotactic biopsy. Also included in that construction was a new Emergency Department, Cardiology area, Lab area and centralized registration. We are extremely proud of our facility and the services that we provide to our customers.

Salary:
$11 per hourEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
